- The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools Grant Alerts
The mission of the California Wellness Foundation is to improve the health of the people of California by making grants for health promotion, wellness education, and disease prevention. The California Wellness Foundation (CWF) is interested in funding the following health issues: Diversity in the Health Professions, Environmental Health, Healthy Aging, Mental Health, Teenage Pregnancy Prevention, Violence Prevention, Women’s Health, and Work and Health.
The mission of All Stars Helping Kids is to promote a safe, healthy and rigorous learning environment for disadvantaged children in low-income communities. The Helping Hands Fund is interested in funding projects that can be categorized under the three criteria: Rigorous Academics, Health and Fitness, and/or Life skills.

- 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)
(After School Grant)
In addressing its primary goal of ensuring that academic enrichment opportunities are available to students who are not meeting state standards in core academic areas, 21st CCLC funding can be used to provide a broad array of services, such as: Youth development activities; drug and violence prevention programs; recreation programs; and character education programs that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students.

- Head Start Body Start Play Space Grant
Head Start Body Start National Center for Physical Development and Outdoor Play provides grants of up to $5,000 to Head Start Centers nationwide to improve their outdoor play spaces. Approximately 380+ grants will be given each year until 2012.

Finish Line Youth Foundation focuses funding on organizations that provide opportunities for youth participation in the following areas:
- Youth athletic programs - Community-based programs addressing active lifestyle and team building skills.
- Camps - Established camps with an emphasis on sports and active lifestyle, especially programs serving disadvantaged and special needs kids.

- Wal-mart State Giving Grant Program
Through the State Giving Program, the Wal-Mart Foundation seeks to support organizations that create opportunities so people can live better. The Foundation has four areas of focus: Education, Health and Wellness, Environmental Sustainability and Workforce Development/Economic Opportunity. The Foundation strives to award grants that have long-lasting impact for the most people in the most meaningful way.
