Throughout her professional work, Dianne Wilson-Graham has been engaged in moving physical education forward. Named National Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, she has also served as President of California AAHPERD, and been active in many local, state, and national efforts to elevate the quality of physical education. From 2001-2007 Dianne provided state wide leadership for California’s nearly seven million students as the physical education consultant for the California Department of Education. During that time, she led the development of the Physical Education Content Standards for California Public Schools, provided leadership for the statewide professional development series that provides teachers with the skills and knowledge to implement standards-based physical education instruction, and provided leadership for $540 million in state funding for physical education. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the California Center for Excellence Physical Education.

·  Examine the content in the California Physical Education Model Content Standards and the connections for physical activity programs.

·  Examine the content standards that contain performance related nutrition education.

·  Build competencies for implementing and disseminating performance-related nutrition instructional materials.
